Vicki Allred Shirah, 71, passed away peacefully and of natural causes on Monday, May 1, 2023 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill.
She was born on March 16, 1952 and was the daughter of the late Lawrence Monroe Allred and Wanda May Deeds Allred.
Vicki was larger than life. She loved spending time with her family and friends and lived by the adage “friends are the family we choose”. She treasured holiday celebrations such as dyeing Easter eggs and shooting fireworks at Christmas. Vicki was an artistic person and enjoyed woodworking, painting, gardening and crafting with people of all ages within her family circle.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Allred Buck (Brian), her son, Gary Michael Shirah; her brother, Earl Marvin Allred; her half-brother, Lawrence Allred, Jr., and her half-brother, Wayne Allred and her beloved grandson, Keegan Jon-Lawrence Buck. She was preceded in death by her half-sister Jane Yates.
A visitation for Vicki is scheduled for Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm in the Greene Funeral Home Downtown Chapel, 355 E. White Street, Rock Hill, SC, 29730. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Rawlinson Road Baptist Church, 1024 Rawlinson Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
