Catawba, SC – Mr. Victor William Smith, 79, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at his home.
Mr. Smith was born in Watertown, NY, and was the son of the late Bion W Smith and the late Beverly Parks Smith. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Gertrude Ellen Blanton Smith. He worked in the paper mill industry and retired from Bowater Inc. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and was a master knife maker. Mr. Smith enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.
All services for Mr. Smith will be private.
Mr. Smith is survived by his two daughters, Vikki Carlson (Derek) and Kim Belcher (Robert) , all of Rock Hill; his brothers, Matthew Smith (Judith) and Martin Smith (Cindy); his sisters, Lucinda Dumaw (John) and Billie Jo Davis; and his four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
