Rock Hill, SC – Mr. William “Bill” Boone Orr, 67, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at his home.
Bill was born in Rock Hill, SC, and was the son of the late Franklin S Orr and the late Vertie Mae Wagner Orr. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Brandi Orr, his brother, Hugh Orr, and sister, Beckie Orr. He was owner and operator of Boone Oil Company and a member of the Elks Lodge and the American Legion.
A memorial service for Bill will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, August 20, 2023 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road with Mr. Swain Wright and Pastor Bill Scott. The family will receive friends immediately after the service at the funeral home.
Bill is survived by his spouse, Julie Ann Parsons Orr; his son, Billy (Catherine) Orr Jr. of Beaufort, SC; three daughters, Sherry of Charleston, SC, Jessica Orr (Matt) of Rock Hill, SC, and Brooke (Josh) Orr of Charleston, SC; his brother, Randy Hunnicutt; his four sisters, Terri (Butch) Daniels, Jeannie (John) Brown, Sherry (Swain) Wright, and Pam Yates; his three sons-in-laws, Eric Sims, Marty Mitchum, John Padgett, and Tim Counts; a grandson, Jaylen Huckeba and 21 grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Bill’s name to Providence Care Hospice, 500 Lakeshore Parkway, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
