Rock Hill, SC – Mr. William “Bill” Francis Lamb, III, 64, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at Atrium Health – Main in Charlotte, NC..
Bill was born in Ankara, Turkey on an U.S. Air Force base and was the son of William Francis Lamb, Jr. and the late Wilhelmina Thompson Lamb. Bill retired as Director of Pharmacy at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill. He attended Clemson University, University of South Carolina School of Pharmacy and received his MBA from Winthrop University. Since Bill retired, Bill loved to spend his time with Julie and his girls, especially his grandchildren. He loved being called ‘CAPO”. Bill was an avid Clemson fan and he loved his Tigers.
Services for Bill will be 11:30 am, Monday, June 12, 2023 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road with Reverend Dave Finley officiating. Burial will be private after the service. The family will receive friends from 10:30 am until the time of service Monday at the funeral home.
In addition to his father, Bill is survived by his wife, Julie Ray Lamb; his daughters, Caroline Lamb of Fort Mill, SC, and Catherine (Corey) Rawls of Rock Hill, SC; his two sisters, Edna (Doug) McMillan of Greenville, SC, and Debbie (Ed) Sears of Simpsonville, SC; his brother, Jimmy (Amy) Lamb of Chesnee, SC; and his grandchildren Walker Rawls and Ava Rawls .
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Bill’s name to Pilgrim’s Inn 236 W. Main St., Rock Hill, SC 29730.
